Could not load file or assembly 'DTI.ImageMan.Codecs.DLL'

Pablo Santos Nov 09, 2015 01:10PM EST

Our company uses the ImageMan as a part of an Web application . But We have the limitation to activate the COM interop support.

The application works fine in developement running on Visual Studio 2015, Windows 8 64 bit system.
But when we publish the application on server IIS (Internet Information Services), the application returns the following error:

"Could not load file or assembly 'DTI.ImageMan.Codecs.DLL' or one of its dependencies. The specified module could not be found."

We couldn't install the ImageMan on server application. We need to call the Imageman library inside our Bin application folder like ohers library.

Do you have a solution for our problem?

Pablo Santos.

Which version of the codecs assy are you deploying ? I suspect you are missing either the codecs file or the C runtime files that it requires.

Thanks for your interest in our products and please let us know if you have any questions.

I'm using x86 codecs, version 3.30.

I could solve the problem if i install the ImageMan Net 3.30 on server machine, The ImagemMan will register its dependecy in GAC (Global Assembly Cache) and the application will works fine.
But we can't install the Imageman in production environment

Is there any way to use ImagemMan library without install the ImageMan Net 3.30 on server? Could you say me which is the C runtime files required to run Imageman ?

You just need to deploy the ImageMan.Net files per the documentation at:

and install the proper C runtime as outlined below:

Download the MS Visual Studio 2010 SP1 x64 C Runtime files installer from:

and the x86 installer from:

These files are required for the ImageMan.Net .Net 4 assemblies.
