How to scan while annotating

Kathy Brewer Mar 14, 2012 11:06AM EDT

In our application, we have a separate Scanning page and a separate Annotation page. The original developer for this project is no longer employed and so I'm new to this. We need to be able to scan additional pages while in annotation mode and have those pages added to the file.

I can add pages from the file system, but need to be able to add the newly scanned pages. Please help. Thanks.

Hi Kathy,

Are you using our ImageMan.Net Document edition to do the annotation ?

If so and you are using our viewer control then you can add the Scanned images to the viewer's .Images collection using the Add method without having to save them to disk first.

For example, heres a click handler that scans into the viewer control:

private void scanToolStripMenuItem_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
System.Drawing.Image img;

twainControl1.MaxPages = 99;
img = twainControl1.ScanPage();

while (img != null)
{
viewer1.Images.Add(new ImImage((Bitmap)img));

img = twainControl1.ScanPage();
}

twainControl1.CloseSource();
}

Thanks for your interest in our products and please let us know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
Sean
