jim sturtz Mar 28, 2012 01:22PM EDT

an archived thread says ' FMF files are fax files that you can create from the FaxMan printer driver' the same. the help file says [Use the FaxMan Jr. Print Drivers and ActiveX control – by far the most common method, this allows users to generate faxable files from virtually any Windows application. Instructions on how to do this are located elsewhere in this manual] but i cant find any additional info on the process. the program works find, and i have tested the process even using the printer test. but ill be darned if i can figure how to take my word.doc files and convert them to fmf. work appreciate a pointer to something step-by-step. thanks. jim

Hi Jim,

For DOC files you would have to use MS Word to print them to an instance of the FaxMan Jr printer driver that you have setup.

You could do that either manually or programmatically via OLE automation to load the doc into word then print it.

There are also some other components out there that will let you render DOC files to TIFF files that you could fax from FaxMan.

Thanks for your interest in our products and please let us know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
Sean
