Exception dropping an image viewer on to form.

Warren Millar May 01, 2012 12:16AM EDT

I have two 2008 .net projects, one is working ok. My new project is getting an error when I drop the Imageman Viewer control onto the form.

I am getting the following error.
"The control DTI.Imageman.Winforms.Viewer has thrown an unhandled exception in the designer and has been disabled.
Method not found: 'DTI.Imageman.ImImage

Stack Trace:
at STI.ImageMan.Winforms.Viewer.OnPaint(PaintEventArgs e)"

Can you help?

We have also answered the email you sent. For others who may have this issue this is caused by the DTI.ImageMan.Codecs.dll file not being found. That file should be installed in the gac generally.

This can also be caused by missing the C Runtime DLLs that are required by the DTI.ImageMan.Net.dll.

The dependencies are:

ImageMan.Net 2.x - msvcr80.dll & msvcp80.dll
ImageMan.Net 3.x - .Net 2.0 Assemblies - msvcr80.dll & msvcp80.dll
ImageMan.Net 3.x - .Net 4.0 Assemblies - msvcr100.dll & msvcp100.dll

Those files can either be installed side by side or more easily placed in the same directory as the application and the ImageMan.Net Assemblies.
