I can't figure out how to get the fax error if the fax machine I'm calling is busy. Any code examples?

Hi Donald,

If the destination fax is always busy then the fax will fail and be placed into the failed log with a LogStatus of either Line Busy or Didnt connect depending on the modem. Some modems do not detect BUSY properly and just return a NO CONNECT in the case where the destination fax # is actually busy. In that case you cant really determine the difference between No answer, a voice answer or a busy, you just know it didnt connect.

Thanks.

Just hoped I could get the information real time before the message moved to Failed log.

Hi Donald,

You will get a FaxLogAdd event when the fax is moved into the failed log, this is pretty much realtime.

In that event you can look at why the fax failed and do whatever you need to do.

Thanks for your interest in our products and please let us know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
Sean
