Aborting Multi-page Scans from Within the Scan Event Handler

Bill Knox Feb 20, 2013 04:34AM EST

Is there any way to abort scanning subsequent pages when the Scan Event detects an error condition in a scanned page? I have a multi-page document and want to abort further scanning if the document was not scanned at the proper resolution or with the proper number of bits/pixel. I’ve tried various things and read the documentation but have yet to determine a way to cause the scanning to stop.

I am using Version 7.0.0.0 of the ImageMan TWAIN Active X control (which dates back to 2001) on a FoxPro 6 form. I know. This is going back a way but this is the license that we have and the product is working just great for us in this environment.

Hello Bill,

Sorry in the V 7.,xx ActiveX there is no way to cancel the scans when scanning multiple pages.

That would be possible with the Version 8 controls which are the current version. You can get more info from our website and upgrade from the My Products page on our website at http://www.data-tech.com/myproducts.aspx.

Thanks for your interest in our products and please let us know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
Sean
